On Thursday, Dr. GR Ravindranath, General Secretary of Doctors Association for Social Equality, has demanded a reasonable investigation into the deaths of three patients who were on ventilator support, supposedly due to a power cut, at a government hospital in Madurai, Tamil Nadu.

While speaking to ANI on this incident at Rajaji hospital, Dr. Ravindranath had said that he demands a fair investigation about this accident. A retired judge should be appointed for this incident, so that they will be able to find out the truth. The incident has reportedly happened due to a power cut. The hospital administration did not take any steps to restore the power immediately.

The deceased were identified as Mallika, Palaniyammal and Raveendran.
